Agents are the lifeblood of any van line. That’s why we provide unprecedented support for our agency network, ensuring Wheaton agents receive assistance and have access to the resources they need to be successful.
New agent training and orientation – Wheaton assigns a professional trainer to spend several days at your facility. You’ll cover policies, procedures, revenue accounting, sales and marketing and information technology. Regional Sales Directors (RSDs) also will spend time reviewing Wheaton’s sales programs – like the Guaranteed Service Program (GSP).
Online training – The Wheaton Learning Institute (WLI), a Web-based training tool, is available to all agents for online training and certification programs, including the Agent Certification Program (ACP), a formal online program designed to help agents with the basics of interstate business and Wheaton policies. Other WLI options include a variety of Wheaton-specific training programs as well as opportunities to hone skills on teamwork, leadership and Microsoft Office software.
Driver training – In addition to a driver orientation program, Wheaton provides several driver training schools in Indianapolis annually.
Sales training – Wheaton makes various programs available, such as Boot Camp for Wheaton Sales Professionals (offered at various sites across the country), and online sales training and certification (the Sales Certification Program, or SCP).
Guaranteed Service Program (GSP) – The industry’s most aggressive service guarantee program designed to give customers the peace-of-mind needed to book with Wheaton.
Corporate sales support – Wheaton has Regional Sales Directors (RSDs) in the field whose primary purpose is to assist agents in securing national account business. The RSDs also will provide sales training and support to agents as needed.
Corporate marketing support – Wheaton’s marketing services area provides assistance to agents with their own programs, including Yellow Pages advertising and Web site design and management.
Webinars – Wheaton offers occasional webinars (online, interactive presentations) for agents covering a wide array of topics (from policies, procedures and electronic marketing to current events) relevant to the day-to-day business issues that affect van lines and agencies.
Quality Assurance Program (QAP) – Our customer service representatives monitor and coordinate relocations for all national account contracts (unless otherwise specified) using a process designed to ensure customer satisfaction.
Annual Partnership Conference – A four-day event for all agents and drivers that includes opportunities to interact with Wheaton management, seminars hosted by industry experts and Wheaton staff, and guest speakers.
Regional Meetings – Informative and interactive, these meetings are held in three regions of the country and all agents are invited to attend. Agendas include educational seminars on topics relevant to the relocation industry as well as Wheaton policies and procedures. The Regional Meetings provide an excellent opportunity for agents to interact with their peers and the Wheaton team.
