credentials and corporate citizenship

Wheaton understands the importance of maintaining third-party credentials that give the company credibility. It’s also imperative that Wheaton and its agents spend time helping the communities in which we operate. It’s not only the right thing to do – it’s good business. Here’s a sampling of Wheaton’s credentials and national organizations with which the company works:

Good Housekeeping
Every year since 1964, Wheaton has earned the Good Housekeeping Seal for Interstate Moving Services. That’s important to you, and our customers because our Good Housekeeping affiliation holds us to higher standards than our competition. In addition, the target demographic of Good Housekeeping – women, 35-to-55 years old – is exactly the same target demographic of our primary COD customer.

Steinway & Sons Pianos
Wheaton is the Official Mover of Steinway & Sons Pianos. Again, Steinway holds us to a higher standard than the other van lines. This resonates well with our customers because it shows that not only can we safely move their prized piano (Steinway or otherwise), but we can handle any of their most delicate and difficult possessions with the care and precision necessary.

ProMover
Wheaton was one of the first national household goods carriers to become ProMover certified by the American Moving and Storage Association (AMSA). Wheaton has ensured that our training, processes and procedures meet and exceed the AMSA’s requirements for becoming a ProMover. As a result, ALL Wheaton agents are ProMovers, giving customers peace-of-mind and a way to verify our status with the AMSA before hiring one of our agents.

Give Kids The World
Wheaton is a proud corporate supporter of Give Kids The World, a non-profit organization that helps create memories for children with life-threatening illnesses by bringing them to a special resort in Orlando. Every year Wheaton donates significant time and treasure to this very worthy cause.

Susan G. Komen for the Cure® Tissue Bank at the IU Simon Cancer Center
Wheaton transports the Susan G. Komen for the Cure® Tissue Bank at the IU Simon Cancer Center to Race for the Cure events around the country. Wheaton has made a commitment to support the Tissue Bank in its efforts to help Komen find a cure for breast cancer.

Move for Hunger™
Wheaton is a founding partner in an organization called Move for Hunger™ that collects unwanted non-perishables from moving customers and brings it to local food banks. Started by a Wheaton agent, the program is attracting more Wheaton agents and attention every day.
